Authors After Dark 2012

Hey everyone! I know it's still almost a year away, but I wanted to drop a bug in your ear. Authors After Dark 2012 is going to be in NEW ORLEANS!! I know! I'm so excited to be going again next year. I'll be attending, along with 80 other fabulous featured authors! Some New York, some indie, and some small press, so you're going to get a wide mix of what you want, both to read and to learn about.

This con is a great way to rub elbows and just hang out, not only with the authors, but with other readers who share your interests and industry professionals who can give you a behind the scenes low-down on what really happens. Kind of like having the Hollywood backstage pass, this is THE place to be.

There will be panels, and parties and of course the Masquerade Ball. But... BUT!!! It's in New Orleans! The home of Mardi Gras! Can you tell I'm excited? I've never been (driving through and plane changes do NOT count LOL).

A few updates

I'm guilty. Completely. Well, it's summer. I have a child at home. Series that I'm writing, a conference to prep for.

What am I guilty of?

Completely ignoring my blog. I'm sorry. *facepalm* No, I'm not one of those who loves to share tons of personal doings. Seriously? You want to hear about my bi-weekly trip to the grocery store? Yeeeaaah. I thought not. And other than writing and not going crazy when my child begins to whine that he's booorred and there's no one to plaaaay with, while I count days to the beginning of school, (One week and counting), there just isn't that much to blog about in my corner of the universe. The house is still standing, the husband is still working and I'm still writing. That's the lump sum. Frightening, I know. LOL

Luckily, a couple of good things are happening or coming that I want to share. Firstly, Unbound Trust will be available for purchase (and signing!) at Authors After Dark in September, as will His Redeemer's Kiss. I'm glad to finally have that one coming to my hot little (little is a refernce, folks) hands. Also, coming August 18th, this week, is the final installment of Aiza Shifter Clan quad series. Trust Revealed will be on All Romance Ebooks, and in fact is there now, available for pre-order. Want it as soon as it goes live? Go ahead and request it now. Then... Now... Tomayto, Tomahto. LOL

I've also decided to put a test title on Kindle. It'll be a re-release of one of my early contracted books, with a new cover. I'll keep updates on that as well. I have pages on Amazon, and books available on Kindle or in print already, so if you miss it here, just check there every now and then for changes.

2011 Bookie Awards? There's only one way to vote!

Want yet another reason to attend AAD 2010 this year? How about helping to usher in a new romance award? That’s right this year’s attendees will be the sole nominators of the Bookie Awards!

The Bookie Awards is a by readers award, nominated and voted by READERS, the ones that really matter! The Bookie Awards will be given at Authors After Dark 2011 in a fantastic ceremony Friday afternoon.

Winners will receive a fantastic award, a specially designed and made bracelet with a sterling silver book charm on it, as well as a certificate.

Readers at the event this year will be nominating books from 2010 in categories such as Best Vampire novel, Best Werewolf novel, Best historical Novel, Best M/M Novel, Best Erotic Romance, several categories of best short stories, Best debut author, best series in a number of categories, Best Hero, Best heroine, Best couple and many others!

At AAD this year we will be giving out ballots, and then in October we will be announcing the nominees as chosen by YOU the reader (well if your at the con that is) and November we will be opening voting for the readers to pick the crème of the crop.
